Leroy Hood, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Leroy Hood is the Chief Scientific Advisor of TGS. Dr. Hood is the
Co-founder and head of the Institute for Systems Biology. He was the William
Gates III Professor of Biomedical Sciences and founding chair of the Department
of Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Washington from 1992 to
1999. He has been a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the
American Academy of Arts and Sciences since 1982. He received the Albert
Lasker Basic Medical Sciences Research Award. Dr. Leroy Hood received
his B.S. from the California Institute of Technology, his M.D. from the
Johns Hopkins Medical School, and his Ph.D. from the California Institute
of Technology.

Chen-Kung
Chou, Ph.D.
Dr. Chen-Kung Chou is a Professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences, National
Yang Ming University, Taiwan. He was the Director of Molecular and Genomic
Medicine Research at the National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan from
1997 to 1999. He has been the Investigator of Veterans General Hospital
in Taiwan since 1983. He was a Visiting Investigator at Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center from 1985 to 1986. Dr. Chen-Kung Chou's major research interest
is in kinases and signal transduction in hepatoma and other cancer cells.
Dr. Chen-Kung Chou received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Albert
Einstein College of Medicine.

Allen
M. Gown, M.D.
Dr. Allen Gown is the Medical Director and Founder of PhenoPath Laboratories.
He has contributed extensively to expanding the horizons of immunohistochemistry.
He continues to pursue investigational work in the context of PhenoPath
Laboratories and the Immunocytochemistry Research Institute in Seattle
(IRIS). He is currently a Clinical Professor of Pathology at the University
of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Professor of Pathology at University
of Washington, Affiliate Investigator in the Clinical Research Division
of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, and Adjunct Professor
of Pathology, Anatomy, and Cell Biology at Jefferson Medical College,
Philadelphia, PA.. Dr. Allen Gown received his M.D. from Albert Einstein
College of Medicine.

Jiri
Homola, Ph.D.
Dr. Jiri Homola is the Head of Department of Guided-Wave Optics, Institute
of Radio Engineering and Electronics, Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic.
Dr. Homola is an expert in the field of guided-wave optics, photonic devices,
and optical sensors. He is a member of Scientific Council of the Institute
of Radio Engineering and Electronics, Prague, 1995 ”V 1998, and also a
senior member of IEEE, member of European Optical Society, Czechoslovak
Society for Photonics, Czech Electrotechnical Society. He has published
more than 35 journal papers, 70 conference papers, and two book chapters.
His doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering was obtained at the Academy
of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

Yi-Hung Chou, M.D., Chief Medical Advisor
Dr. Yi-Hung Chou received his medical training at the Medical College of National Taiwan University. In 1993,
he completed his residency training in Department of Pediatrics, and was promoted as an attending physician and lecturer
in National Taiwan University Hospital. In 1998, he did research at the Children's Nutrition Research Center, the Texas
Children”¦s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston USA.
Currently, Dr. Yi-Hung Chou is the Chief of the Division of Neonatology and the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at
the Chang Gung Children”¦s Hospital, and is conducting the well-baby health assessment clinic and high-risk neonate
follow-up program. He specializes in pediatrics, neonatology, infant nutrition, and intensive care of high-risk babies.

Chien Lin Whei-Jun, Ph.D., Chief Animal Science Advisor
Dr. Chien Lin Whei-Jun received her Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Medicine from National Taiwan University. After that she continued her research interests in animal virology and obtained her advanced degree from Pennsylvania State University, U.S.A. She later joined Nagasaki University, Japan, where she was awarded Ph.D in Animal Pathology. Upon her return to Taiwan, Dr. Chien Lin Whei-Jun joined the faculty of Chia-Nan College of Pharmacy. She has been elected in many public positions including City Council Member of City of Tainan, National Congress Member, Member of National Legislators and currently National Policy Advisor to the President of Taiwan, Republic of China.
